Getting Your Groove Back – Life Balance Series – Step 6
by Shann on Nov.09, 2008, under Getting Your Groove Back, Life Balance
Where ever you are … Focus on the beauty of your natural surroundings.
Invite mother nature into your world.
Infuse your life with peace and balance by immersing yourself in the natural surroundings of your community.
We spend so much time working, talking on the phone, emailing, text messaging and commuting. All of these activities deplete our energy.
Recharging your spirit can be as easy as a walk in the woods or local park.
I am grateful to live in northern Michigan – surrounded by Lake Michigan, hundreds of rivers, forests and an abundance of natural integrity.
I recommend bringing nature inside to lift your spirits.
Our home is filled with fresh flowers, rock collections, driftwood, birch paper, pine cones, shells, acorns. Most of our walls are decorated with pictures of water, skies and flowers.
How can you surround yourself with more natural beauty?
Groovy Action Plan:
- Take a picture of a favorite tree, stream, flower, natural vista etc.
- Become an observer of nature every day.
- Watch a sunrise or sunset.
- Get outside and walk in a natural setting.
I’d love to take a peek at what you find naturally beautiful. Please email me your nature pics and I’ll post them here.

Getting Your Groove Back – Life Balance Series – Step 4

Today we are going to focus on what makes you tick.
My favorite response to people when they ask me how I am is “I’m living a dream and you”?
I giggle every time the words pass through my lips.
It’s amazing how people respond. This fun and simple statement often changes the way people think about their own situation.
One of the greatest things you can do is continue to create and dream and build the life you want and deserve.
The Law of Attraction is real.
Your life can be everything you want it to be, if you know what you want.
When was the last time you sat down and figured out what makes you tick?
Take some time this week to answer the following questions:
Groovy Action Plan
- What have you always wanted to accomplish?
- Are you still curious to learn more about who you are?
- Have you “settled” for what is comfortable and familiar?
- Describe a time when your life was in perfect alignment.
You are invited to share your answers with me and schedule a
complimentary laser coaching session. Shall we begin creating a luscious
life based on what makes you tick?
Sound intriguing?

Choose Life Balance

One of the origins of the word BALANCE is “To Dance”.
When I named my life coaching business the origins of the words I chose made it easy for me to decide on True Balance (Loyal Dance) Life Coaching. A big part of my professional life involves this loyal dance … inspiring people to create balanced lives.
With all of this being said, it seems only natural to pose some life balance questions. You will find my answer to each question based on my current experience. It has been my experience that balance is always a personal choice and is always in flux.
- Do you feel your life is well-balanced?
Today my life is a rich balance of love, family, friendship, nature, writing, coaching and yoga.
- What does balance mean to you?
Balance means creating a luscious life filled with daily experiences that light me up AND allowing for time to be still.
- What does being in balance feel like?
Being in balance feels easy like kayaking down the river or floating on Lake Michigan. It’s a sense of knowing I can be the person I wish to be if I allow my greatness to unfold. I understand that I don’t have to continue paddling upstream to live my definition of a good life.
- When have you felt most in balance?
Right NOW. For me being in balance starts by honoring my natural rhythm as a woman and entrepreneur. I find that when I honor me and focus on gratitude and creation, I feel a greater sense of well being and balance.
I hope you will take a few minutes and respond to these questions. I would love to know what you think.
