I LOVE leading coaching groups for entrepreneurial women. We open our bi-weekly mastermind calls with a reading of A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson. Marianne’s carefully crafted language is powerful. She forces us to remember that we ARE meant to shine as children do. She says “As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Think about this statement and how you have demonstrated courage and strength in the face of fear. Chances are you have impacted others with your boldness.
Next week I am stepping WAY out of my comfort zone by shooting my first video, jumping into the motivational speaking circuit and hiring another person to support the growth of True Balance. Sometimes the thought of playing to bigger audience is wicked terrifying. But I’ve learned to feel the terror and breathe through it. Ultimately I will push through my F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) and go for it. Why? Because every time I take another step forward in my business I grow as a human-woman-person AND I may even inspire another powerful woman to do the same.
It’s perfectly natural to get freaked out about your particular version of the “Big Show.” So what. Do it anyway.
A Return to Love
by Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
