Do you ever find yourself seeking outside approval or appreciation?
Of course you do!
What happens when you don’t get the positive ego strokes you secretly crave?
For me a relentless and pesky inner critic (aka inner gremlin) magically takes form and begins to kick my butt with negative statements.
” You are a slacker” or “You are not working smart enough” or “What are you thinking, you’ll never … (Insert goals and dreams here)
These sort of negative statements are damaging and untrue.
It’s time this nasty inner critic in check.
How?
You guessed it ….
Bump off the little bugger with loving kindness.
Become your own biggest fan!
Tell yourself …
“I’m doing a great job and love what I do!” or “I am a great leader!” or “I can do anything!”
You get the idea.
Why not take this little exercise a step further and cheer someone else on?
Friends, family and coworkers all benefit from positive reinforcement.
If thoughts become things, plant the seeds of positive inner dialog today.
Before long, your inner gremlin will be reduced to silence … most of the time.
Crack yourself up with affirmations!
The next time the nasty little bugger presents himself … you know what to do.
Slay any Gremlins today?
